Aujourd'hui, l'Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJM) présente en rappel ce répertoire exceptionnel en réunissant Caron avec ses complices Paul Brochu et John Roney, sous la direction musicale de Marianne Trudel. In April 2005, Quebec virtuoso bassist Alain Caron collaborated with the prestigious WDR Big Band of Cologne under the direction of Michael Abene, a meeting that marked a turning point in his career by merging his jazz fusion with orchestral power. Today, the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal (ONJM) presents an encore performance of this exceptional repertoire, reuniting Caron with his collaborators Paul Brochu and John Roney, under the musical direction of Marianne Trudel. Between faithful reinterpretations and daring improvisations, this evening promises to be vibrant, celebrating both the legacy of the 2005 recordings and the artistic evolution of these musicians at the peak of their art, in a fusion where the passion for jazz transcends eras and borders.
